RIM BlackBerry Storm Smartphone Coming to India from Vodafone


Coming soon to India is the World’s first clickable touchscreen BlackBerry Storm phone.

RIM and Vodafone have come together to launch the Storm smartphone in India introduced only for Vodafone customers.

It is a perfect phone for balancing your professional and personal life.

BlackBerry Storm smartphone is a multitasking phone that comes in with lot of goodies. The intuitive touchscreen response of the phone including multi touch and gestures yields quick results. Storm customers can actually feel the smooth and swift functioning while typing with its SurePress touchscreen feature. It is integrated with clickable touchscreen that will work in a same way as a physical keyboard.

The Smartphone comprises a wide 3.25 inch color screen that will display images and data very clearly on it. The built-in accelerometer will automatically rotate the screen from portrait mode to landscape mode and vice versa. BlackBerry owners can click clear and bright images with its 3.2 megapixel camera featuring flash and auto focus. The phone also entertains its users with a media player and has preloaded with 11 equalizers like Hip Hop, Jazz and Lounge. Music played on external speakers will give you a real music system listening experience.

On the other hand, to help users carry out their professional work more profoundly Storm phone has DataViz that will allow its users to edit and view data in various Microsoft format. BlackBerry’s professional software and internet service will enable you to conduct business online. Besides this, it will also provide access to social networking sites like Facebook and Flickr and send instant Yahoo messages and stay connected with friends and family through Windows Live Messenger.

Accompanying the above features is 1 GB of internal memory and extensible support upto 16GB. In addition to this a 3.5mm stereo headset and Bluetooth is also on board. Storm’s battery life is estimated to provide 15 days of standby time and 6 hours of talktime.

BlackBerry Storm via Vodafone will fly in Indian markets with the upcoming kite festival on January 15, 2009 for Rs 27, 990.
